In other words, Michael's a geek. He likes to play with the computer, even when he's home and (theoretically) not "working." Hence this site. When he's not at the keyboard, he used to like reading science fiction, technical and programming books (oops, the geek surfaces again), and non-fiction about chefs, cooking, food history, and cryptography. These days it seems like time is short for reading printed pages, and he has turned his attention to audiobooks. Getting out of the house doesn't happen as often as he and Rochelle would like, but when it does, going out to dinner, going to parties, seeing movies, and walking around San Francisco are all favored pastimes.
