Who Has the Jitters?

People keep asking us, separately and when we're together, are you sure you want to do this?, are you ready?, are you nervous?, having second thoughts?, etc. And, frankly, the answer is no. The only thing we're nervous about is the logistics of the reception afterwards. 'Cause if the party sucks, we're going to get lynched, as well as hitched.

In fact, it's funny (well, to us at least), but another couple we know, who are getting married the weekend after we are, has been having terrible fights about the wedding, arrangements, etc. We haven't fought at all, though we did have a tense evening when we were feeling broke (that passed when Gap stock went up $10 in a week). And we're freaking out about how little time we have left to finish our errands and planning.

The marriage part itself we're very calm, and very excited, about. Just in case you were asking.

Play A Game With Us!

Whah! No one's sent us any pictures! So, we're digging them out of our files. That's right, the files. You can send us bribes if you like, to keep us from choosing The Wrong Photo. Or you can send us a photo instead.

You choose. ;-)

Ceremony Preview

We've been having a lot of fun working on the wedding ceremony. Maybe a little too much fun, judging by the funny looks we've gotten when we've broken out into maniacal laughter.

We don't want to give too much away, but Rochelle's comin' down the aisle to a non-traditional tune. Something recorded over 100 times, by acts as diverse as Blonde, Wall of Voodoo, Olivia Newton John, and Grace Jones. We kid you not. W're sticking with the original, classic recording, though. See if you can guess who it is...

Another ceremony teaser: what's a better symbol of the permanence of our love than rings? We think this is a unique idea, hope you'll enjoy watching!

Weather Notes

It's been quite hot in the Bay Area for several days now, and it was so clear last night that we could watch the fireworks over Candlestick Park from our back deck (very unusual). Definitely shorts weather.

This is terrific, and if we get the same weather on Sunday, we'll be so happy we could have a bowel movement. It _is_ expected to cool a little bit by Sunday, with a touch of coastal fog, but the 5 day forecast says it should only be about 5 degrees cooler on Sunday.

You know what that projection's worth. Look out the window the morning of, and make your decision then.

Location and Parking -- Final Update

Remember, to use our reserved parking spaces near the church, you'll need to bring your invitation or a printout of the front page of our web site. Don't forget!

Second, let's say, just for the sake of argument, that you're the kind of person who runs late to things sometimes. Ours wouldn't be the first wedding where a guest didn't make it to the church in time to catch the ceremony (it's happened to one of us, too).

In case you find yourself running really late, and need to go directly to the reception, we've put together a web page just for you. It's really for our food delivery folks, but you can use it too ;-):
