Champagne Field Markers These markers are placed in virtually all of the fields where champagne grapes are grown. We passed them by for days, thinking they were beautiful. Finally, when we saw an extremely rare (for our driving) Salon marker, we started taking photos. It's very interesting that our photos go from Salon, perhaps the highest quality champagne represented here, to Mercier, which was the wine we liked the least while Rochelle and I tasted in France.
