At the Colosseo
My favorite building in Rome was the Colosseo, or the Colosseum. Here we are inside; the
rest of the photo overlooks the ruins that are the floor of the once-great arena.

Cave Canem
It's easier to see in the full-size image, but the sign (at the
top-right of the gate) and the dog just don't go well together...

Senso Unico!
There are two "one way only" signs here, and they have Rochelle confused.
Thank god we never had to drive in Italy!

Rochelle Crosses the Line
Rochelle takes her life into her own hands, and crosses the line into
oncoming pedestrian traffic.

Rochelle Is Small
This fireplace at the Castel Sant' Angelo made both of us feel very small.
Rochelle more than Michael, of course. ;-)

Rochelle Is Tall
Nothing makes you feel more like Godzilla than being taller than a truck. Rochelle
manages it here, just barely. If only trucks and SUVs were this small in the US!

The Door to Our Flat
The door to the flat at which we stayed in Rome had the most impressive lock we've ever seen
in a home. Here you can see that there's the plate in the middle, and two shafts which go up to
the ceiling and down to the floor.

The Deadbolt
Here's just the middle plate, the most serious deadbolt ever made. You can also
(barely) see just how thick the door itself is. We never had a problem with crime,
but we suppose the door speaks louder than our experiences...
